Carpet repair Philadelphia – All You Need to Know about Our Carpet Repair Services

Smart carpet owners know that you don’t really trust your precious rugs to a contractor, unless he’s willing and prepared to answer all your questions. Here are some of the most common challenges that Philadelphia clients throw at us.

There’s a height difference between the tile and carpet in our newly renovated dining area, causing us to trip. What can you do about that?

That height difference can be treated using a carpet or tile/workflow transition. Call our Philadelphia carpet repair contractors to learn how we can finish this very critical area, which is often left unfinished during carpet installation. These situations usually arise when you have recently done a renovation or remodeling or have installed new flooring. The section where the newly installed carpet meets the tile or the wood floor is left unfinished by flooring installation contractors, which means that it remains a problem area, can be an eyesore, and can cause safety problems like the one you currently have.

When you use pieces of remnants of carpet from your store to patch up worn-out areas of my carpet, is the difference noticeable?

It’s very rare that the difference is noticeable. We cannot guarantee a 100% match, because obviously these are two pieces that come from different carpets. However, very often, these solutions are very effective, and the difference is almost unnoticeable.

I have a large cigarette burn in my carpet. What can you do to help?

A smaller area can be fixed using carpet remnants that you have in your home stored for emergencies like this. Or we can use pieces of carpet that we have for such emergencies. The patch is done seamlessly, so it is unnoticeable and doesn’t look messy. For larger sections, we may remove a piece of carpet from elsewhere in your home, like from behind a closet.

I need new carpet in my hallway, but don’t have the budget. How can you help?

The hallway is where carpet tends to get worn out quickly because this is one of the most heavily trafficked areas in the home. Unfortunately, if your carpet is heavily covered with large worn out patches, then there may be no other option available but to replace the carpet. However, there are less expensive options available. You can simply substitute undamaged carpet from any other room in your home, and use this in the hallway. Simply replace the room carpet with less expensive options instead.

My carpet is full of bulges and folds that look messy and saggy. What is carpet stretching?

Carpet stretching is a procedure using which we stretch out your carpet to eliminate all those bulges, folds, wrinkles and creases that make your carpet look old and saggy. Those bulges are the result of regular wear and tear, or faulty installation.  When our Philadelphia carpet pros are through with stretching your carpet, your carpet will look taut, tight and brand-new without a wrinkle in sight!
